It is important for you to know who we are and what we teach as you make a decision to worship with us. While not all-inclusive, these characteristics are what make us Grace in the Desert. Please feel free to contact us with any questions.

Spirit led – we draw on the power of the Holy Spirit in all that we are and all that we do.
Bible-based – we believe that the Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God. All that we do and are is based on Scripture and not man-made doctrine. All of our teaching is based on the Word of God and we make it applicable to our 21st Century life.
A Grace Oasis – we believe that the Grace that we have each received from God, through Jesus, should be shown to all who enter our doors – and that everyone who calls on the Name of Jesus receives that Grace – no matter their past. It is not up to us to judge – and we do not.
Jesus is the only way of salvation. In John 14:6, Jesus tells us, “I am the Way the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (ESV)
Matthew 28:19-20 says, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (ESV) We are called to do more than believe in the salvation we have in Jesus Christ. We are also called to make disciples … to proclaim the Good News of the Gospel to everyone so that they may hear and believe. Jesus promises to be with us as we do so, and we depend on that as we proclaim the Gospel in our worship and in our everyday lives.
Small – we are a house church plant and are looking for like-hearted people to join us in our vision and mission of transforming our community and bringing everyone to know the Grace that we have because of Jesus
Informal and Casual – these are words that can best describe us and our worship style – and our pastor. We believe that people should come as they are for worship without any fear of judgment or ridicule. ALL ARE WELCOME!
Our worship reflects a very contemporary flavor. While some traditions are important, they should not drive our worship or our faith. Faith is about having a relationship with Jesus, not about how we worship.
Joyful – while faith is serious business, it does not have to be dry and somber – in fact, we are called to be joyful in all circumstances and we do our best to live into that each and every day.
Unity in Diversity -- While we have all be given different gifts, Paul tells us that we are to use them in combination with others in the Body of Christ. We do not see our diverse gifts as something negative, but something to be celebrated. We have all been created for a different purpose in God's Kingdom and are to work together, using those gifts, to create a space where all are welcome, all gifts are valued and used, and the Spirit reigns in and works through us.
